Some more great posters from yesteryear – in my view not quite as good as the ‘art’ posters of the 1950s but stunning nonetheless.

Whilst this poster is not the official event poster it uses the same artwork but with different wording.  It was produced to entice tourists to France and is probably rarer than the official poster.

A beautiful snapshot in time was used for this poster photographed before the start of the 1966 race with a brace of ferrari Daytona's awaiting to be released on the unsuspecting tarmac.

This official poster is for the date that never was as the usual June date had to be postponed due to civil unrest in France.Most of these posters were torn down or recalled they would then be printed with the rescheduled September date.

The poster here was printed in much lower numbers as they had already printed the poster with the June date which had to be postponed.
